BI & Fabric Developer - Outside IR35 - Hybrid
The Senior BI Developer will design, develop, and maintain scalable Business Intelligence (BI) solutions leveraging Microsoft Fabric and the broader Microsoft data ecosystem. This role is responsible for delivering a modern, secure, and high-performing Azure-based data platform that enables high-quality reporting, analytics, and business insight across the Group.
The successful candidate will:
* Design and develop scalable BI solutions using Microsoft Fabric
* Build and manage data pipelines using OneLake, Dataflow Gen2, and Azure Data Factory
* Develop semantic models in Microsoft Power BI and integrate with DirectLake or Warehouse datasets
* Work closely with data architects, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver impactful insights
* Optimise data models for performance, scalability, and reusability
* Support governance, security, and compliance best practices within a modern data platform environment
KEY ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Design and deliver a scalable Azure data platform for the Group, including Data Warehouses and reporting/visualisation tools
* Ensure the Group's data platform is fit for purpose and aligned with future strategic growth
* Develop and provide technical support across a modern Microsoft data stack, including:
o Azure Synapse Analytics
o SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
o SQL-based database technologies
o Data Lake architectures
SKILLS & EXPERIENCEEssential
* Educated to degree or postgraduate level in a relevant discipline
* Extensive expertise in:
o Database technologies (e.g., SQL)
o Reporting tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI)
o Cloud platforms and Microsoft data technologies
* Strong experience across the Microsoft landscape (Power BI, Fabric, Synapse)
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Proven ability to design scalable and high-performing data platforms
