Founded in 1978, Clark Contracts Ltd is a privately owned main contractor with several operating divisions: Construction, Fit Out, Small Works, Retail, Housing, Maintenance, and Manufactured Joinery. We employ over 250 people with offices in the East and West of Scotland.
Due to recent project wins, we have an opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join the business to work across the East and West of Scotland.
Role & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Ensuring that the projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standard of workmanship.
2. Managing subcontractors.
3. Dealing directly with design teams and clients.
4. Building and developing relationships with existing and new customers.
5. Producing, analyzing, and interrogating programmes.
6. Controlling projects to meet financial budgets.
7. Fully embracing the company's Customers 1st campaign to continually improve customer interactions.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this position, the candidate should:
* Be proficient in Microsoft Project and Office packages.
* Hold a current SMSTS qualification.
* Have a high level of health & safety awareness.
* Hold a current First Aid certification.
* Possess strong communication skills.
* Have experience in both refurbishment and new build projects.
* Be IT literate with good contract administration skills.
* Demonstrate the ability to control and manage subcontractors.
* Be able to meet programme deadlines.
