We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Band 3 Cook to join our Catering Team at Daisy Hill Hospital, Newry. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled cook to lead a team in delivering high-quality meals to patients, staff, and visitors in a busy healthcare environment. The successful candidate will take responsibility for food preparation, production, and presentation, ensuring all meals are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and hygiene. Hourly Rate: Monday to Friday £12.75 Saturday: £17.22 Sunday: £21.55 Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, shifts between 6:30am and 6:15pm, working every other weekend. Main Duties: Lead and support the kitchen team in food preparation, cooking, and service. Ensure all food is prepared and presented to agreed standards and recipes. Maintain full compliance with HACCP, food safety legislation, and hygiene standards. Cater for dietary requirements and manage allergen compliance. Monitor stock levels, ensure correct storage, and minimise waste. Support the training and development of team members. What We Need From You NVQ Level 3 in food preparation and cooking or equivalent OR 3 years experience as a cook.
