As a Trainee Office Administrator, you will become integral to the smooth operation of our office, reporting directly to the Office Manager. You will be trained in a variety of administrative tasks, utilising your computer skills and developing your organisational abilities. You will be trained in data entry on our bespoke databases, booking work for engineers, maintaining records, invoicing work on completion and assist with other tasks the Office Manager trains you to do with confidence.
We have a busy office, with lots of opportunities to learn and develop in your Administration career. There are plenty of experienced staff to help you and ensure you succeed.
The most important attributes you need are a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn. This is an entry-level position.
Job duties:
· Learning and working to the established office procedures to contribute to the smooth running of the business
· Communicating with engineers and contractors regarding changes to workload or emergency call outs, on a day-to-day basis
· Customer and Client telephone calls, both incoming and outgoing, regarding servicing dates, breakdowns, queries etc.
· Dealing with customer queries in an efficient and pro-active manner
· Handling incoming and outgoing mail, filing and administration
· Working on and maintaining database
Person Specification:
· Educated to GCSE (or equivalent) standard with grade C or above in English, Maths and ICT. Experience in Excel, Word and databases essential.
· Attention to detail critical
· Ability to self-motivate and work as part of a team without close supervision once trained.
