Opportunity
The Regional Travel Operations Manager ensures full implementation of the company travel supplier contracts in the designated region, driving compliance with the usage of corporate tools and contracts and adherence to the Global Travel Policy.
This is a regional position and reports into the Global Travel Category Leader.
Key Responsibilities
1. Build the interface between the Travel Procurement organization and the internal customer (travelers, bookers, functional stakeholders)
2. Establish and entertain local travel councils to share and review travel program information and action plans.
3. Work closely with the Global Travel Category Lead to ensure the ‘traveler community’ voice is considered in travel sourcing and travel process design
4. Ensure full implementation of all travel contracts and work closely with the Global Travel Category Lead to assess supplier usage, trends, performance
5. Manage complaints/issue with the TMC operations manager to resolve.
6. Design impactful communication material to engage travelers on new initiatives, opportunities and to drive overall compliance to the travel program and online adoption.
7. Assist the Global Travel Category Lead by maintaining an up-to-date library of general traveler queries and act as point of escalation for regional queries.
8. Support implementation of new tools and processes to enhance service delivery and program effectiveness.
9. Work with the Concur/Company support team to facilitate conversations or feedback sessions with users
10. Respond to Duty of Care initiatives in coordination with Company Group Security
11. Manage local supplier relationships on a day-to-day basis under supervision of Global Travel Category Lead
12. Follow up and ensure reporting on local travel savings initiatives.
13. Support negotiations with regional or local suppliers as required.
Experience & Qualifications
14. 3+ years’ experience in managing corporate travel in a large global corporation and strong understanding of the business travel eco system.
15. Customer centric approach with expertise in problem solving.
16. Excellent communication skills and ability to build true business partnerships.
17. Well-organized, reliable, and pro-active.
18. Experience with Concur is a plus
19. An analytical mind with strong business acumen
20. Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office products
21. English as a business language is essential
