We are looking for a Site Manager in Wolverton to manage all site operational functions and provide a first‑class service to the client, whilst managing and maintaining site P&L control.

The position will offer a starting salary of £60,000, £6K car allowance, bonus and family health cover.

The shift pattern for this role is Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00 & the occasional Saturday (flexibility required in line with business needs).

Key responsibilities:

* Operational Control
* Ensure that any issues with meeting expectations are communicated in a timely manner
* Oversee the effective running of the operation. Ensuring workforce planning, procedures and documentation requirements are achieved
* Continually review measures of productivity and challenge resource plans to optimise productivity and performance
* Undertake facilities management as required in a timely manner
* Ensure that departmental organisation charts and job descriptions are maintained and accurate
* Financial
* Manage operational cost activities within the site, in line with budgeted targets, addressing any potential issues or deviances in a timely manner
* Ensure compliance with YLUK Financial processes and procedures within the function, offering guidance and support to ensure this remains appropriate
* Review and monitor achievement of Yusen budgetary performance
* Compile a detailed monthly financial summary report to Yusen senior management. Identify and track all cost saving initiatives
* Customer Service
* Establish strong stakeholder relationships
* Ensure professional and effective communication is maintained at all times
* Provide regular management information and accurate reporting
* Actively promote sustainable solutions to Yusen customers
* Ensure supplier agreements and terms of business are properly managed, addressing any contraventions
* Develop strong commercial offering, in line with the company sustainability strategy and the customer expectations
* Identify trends to anticipate customer needs to improve customer satisfaction
* Health and Safety /Company Procedures
* Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to, including PPE, taking appropriate action where procedures are not being adhered to or could be improved.
* Ensure all equipment checks are carried out in accordance with procedure, taking appropriate action to ensure a safe working environment.
* Maintain and update site Risk Assessments, Safe, System of Work and working instructions.
* Continuous Improvement
* Continuously look to improve processes and procedures to drive efficiency and improvement
* Maintain close analysis, promote and identify of areas for improvement within Yusen’s quality management system
* Foster and maintain a culture of continuous improvement
* Team Leadership
* Ensure all team members receive the required level of training and development to succeed, managing and monitoring levels of performance through the annual PDR process and objective setting, providing appropriate levels of mentoring and support
* Ensure all team members are aware of key business outcomes, processes, and expectations, delivering all company communications in a consistent and timely manner
* Promote and support employee engagement activities, ensuring tangible outcomes are identified, implemented, and measured.
* Ensure due attention is provided to employee welfare, identifying and signposting areas of support where necessary, ensuring arrangements are in place to protect the wellbeing of all employees.
* Ensure all company procedures are managed in a consistent and fair manner, including but not exclusively holidays, PDR, absence, performance, disciplinary. Supporting with business investigations, disciplinary and grievance processes across the organisation as necessary

Key requirements:

* Proven experience of managing a site (warehouse or distribution centre) or operation
* Commercial awareness and cost management of budget > £5-6m
* 3PL background with close relationships to key customer contacts
* Excellent customer and stakeholder management skills
* Demonstrates proven history of business improvement through analysis
* Resilient personality and ability to remain focused under pressure
* Practical problem‑solving ability
* A strong continuous improvement mindset
* Able to create and deliver presentation material
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Strong leader, with good values and work ethic
* IT – Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
* Clean, valid driving licence, as some travel required (UK only)
* IOSH Managing Safely (desirable but not essential)
