Role: VisionPLus Developer
We’re looking for a highly skilled and adaptable VisonPlus Developer. The Consultant Specialist will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and support of complex mainframe-based banking applications. This role requires deep technical expertise in COBOL, CICS, and VisionPLUS, along with strong stakeholder management and mentoring capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, code, test, debug, and document COBOL programs in a CICS/VSAM/JCL environment.
* Translate business requirements (BRDs) into MVPs and user stories.
* Develop and execute custom application features and functions based on design specifications.
* Create high-level designs and detailed estimates for small to medium-sized projects.
* Review code, design, and unit test results to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
* Support production deployments and post-implementation activities.
* Participate in and lead crisis calls for production incidents.
* Identify opportunities for system performance improvements.
* Mentor junior developers and contribute to team capability building.
* Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain effective communication.
Skills & Experience
* 10+ years of experience in development and maintenance of complex banking applications, particularly in credit card processing.
* Strong hands-on experience with VisionPLUS and its modules (e.g., CMS, FAS, TRAMS, LTS, ASM, VMX, WINGSFM).
* Proficiency in COBOL and CICS programming.
* Familiarity with mainframe tools such as Endevor, Changeman, and batch scheduling.
* Experience in designing and developing medium to high complexity solutions.
* Solid understanding of DevOps practices and Agile methodologies.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
