A London-based investment firm is seeking a Senior HR Manager to join on a 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover). The firm has built a strong reputation over the past decade.
The business offers a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a strong emphasis on quality, pace, and close partnership with senior stakeholders. This role sits at the heart of the organisation, working directly with the leadership team and combining strategic HR input with hands-on delivery across the full employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner closely with senior leadership to deliver people strategies aligned with business objectives
* Lead end-to-end recruitment across the UK and Europe, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding
* Manage HR systems, policies, and processes, ensuring continuous improvement and efficiency
* Oversee performance management processes and support compensation and reward cycles
* Handle employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with employment law and best practice
* Drive employee engagement, development, and organisational design initiatives
* Support operational areas including coordination around IT governance and AI-related policies
* Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on all HR-related topics
Requirements
* Approximately 5+ years of HR experience in a generalist role
* Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
* Experience operating in a small, fast-paced environment with a proactive, hands-on approach
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to balance strategic thinking and execution
* Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of the full HR lifecycle
The role suits someone who enjoys being in a hands on role where you will have a lot of exposure to the business. Ideally you will come from a private equity or be used to working in a boutique financial services environment.
