About the Company Our client is a well-established and forward-thinking contractor with a strong track record in the social housing refurbishment and regeneration sector. Operating nationwide and with a growing presence across London and the Southeast, they deliver high-quality internal and external improvement works in partnership with local authorities and housing associations. As the company expands its retrofit and regeneration offering across North London, they are seeking a Site Manager to lead projects on-site from inception to completion. The Role As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of refurbishment and retrofit projects across occupied housing stock in North London. You will ensure works are delivered safely on time, to specification, and with a strong focus on resident satisfaction. Key Duties & Responsibilities: * Manage the delivery of internal and external refurbishment works, including: * Kitchen and bathroom replacements * Windows and doors * General repairs and redecoration * External works (roofing, brickwork, render, etc.) * Oversee decarbonisation and retrofit schemes, including: * External wall insulation and cladding * Mechanical ventilation and air-tightness upgrades * Loft and cavity insulation * Renewable energy technology installations (e.g. solar, heat pumps) * Liaise with client representatives, residents, subcontractors and internal teams * Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality, compliance, and health & safety standards * Coordinate labour, materials, and subcontractors to ensure efficient delivery * Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, and H&S documentation * Proactively manage resident liaison and ensure positive customer feedback * Ensure adherence to relevant building regs, PAS 2035 standards and project specifications Requirements: * Proven experience as a Site Manager on social housing refurbishment and/or retrofit projects * Strong knowledge of internal refurbishment trades and external works * Experience with decarbonisation or retrofit schemes (PAS 2035 knowledge desirable) * Excellent organisational and communication skills * SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certification (essential) * Full UK Driving Licence (essential) What’s on Offer: * £45,000 – £55,000 per annum, depending on experience * Car allowance or company vehicle * Pension, healthcare, and discretionary bonus scheme * Ongoing CPD and professional development opportunities * Supportive team environment with clear progression paths
