We are recruiting on behalf of a leading Rail & Civils contractor for an experienced Site Manager / Site Agent to oversee a £2m embankment regrade project in Coventry.
This is a freelance opportunity (CIS or LTD) for an experienced rail and civil engineering professional with a strong engineering background and proven earthworks experience.
Key Responsibilities
Day-to-day management of site operations and workforce
Direct management of a team of up to 20 personnel, including engineers and foremen
Overseeing embankment regrade and associated earthworks activities
Managing and coordinating plant including excavators, dozers, dump trucks, and associated equipment
Attending and leading site meetings
Communicating and liaising with the client and Senior Management
Reading and interpreting civil engineering drawings
Managing and monitoring health, safety, and quality throughout all stages of the works
Ensuring programme targets and project milestones are achieved Requirements
PTS (Personal Track Safety) - Essential
Strong engineering background (Civil Engineering preferred)
Proven experience managing earthworks projects
Experience within rail and civils environments
Demonstrable experience managing engineers, foremen, and site operatives
Ability to coordinate multiple work fronts and plant operations
Strong understanding of HSEQ requirements
Excellent communication and leadership skills What's on Offer
