Lead a Kitchen That Makes a Difference
Our client is seeking an experienced, passionate, and hands-on Catering Manager to oversee the catering operation within a welcoming school environment in East London & Essex
This is an excellent opportunity for somebody who takes pride in delivering fresh, nutritious, and high-quality meals whilst leading a small and supportive kitchen team. The successful candidate will play a key role in creating a positive dining experience for students and staff while maintaining the highest standards across the kitchen.
With a fantastic work-life balance, term-time schedule, and supportive environment, this role is ideal for an experienced Chef Manager, Catering Manager, or Senior Chef looking for a rewarding and stable position.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing the day-to-day running of the kitchen
* Preparing and serving fresh, nutritious meals for students and staff
* Leading, supporting, and motivating the catering team
* Managing stock ordering, deliveries, and minimising waste effectively
* Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
* Ensuring all dietary and allergen requirements are met
* Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
* Delivering a consistently high standard of food and service
What Our Client Is Looking For
* Previous experience as a Catering Manager
* Strong knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen compliance
* Excellent organisational and leadership skills
* Reliable, professional, and hardworking attitude
* Ability to work efficiently within a busy kitchen environment
* Passion for delivering high-quality food and service
* School Chef experience desirable but not essential
