The Role:
To oversee all Quality duties. The role is to take a lead on all aspects of the ISO Integrated Management System ensuring compliance with the Standards to maintain certification.
General Duties
* Manage the ISO IMS system, ensuring that all clauses in the standard are audited following the internal audit schedule.
* Co-ordinate the Annual Management Review meeting, collating data for presentation, distributing the agenda, presenting findings, taking minutes and carrying out any actions recorded.
* Liaison with the external ISO auditors including correct use of the ISO trademarks across all Forth literature, forms, website and social media.
* Monitor and record business KPIs and work towards achieving departmental KPIs.
* Appraise and develop staff.
* Help department heads to appraise and develop their teams.
* Keep up to date with legislation around ISO, and Health and Safety.
* Work towards personal CPD goals.
* Assist the departmental head with any other duties.
* Assist the directors with grant applications and nominating Forth for awards.
* Implement and promote equality and diversity policy
* Respond to customer enquiries and complaints
* Review and update health and safety policies and ensure they're observed
* Check that data protection laws are being adhered to in relation to the storage of data, and review and update policies.
* Use a range of office software, including email, spreadsheets and databases, to ensure the efficient running of the office
* Manage online and paper filing systems
* Develop and implement new administrative systems, such as record management as and when required.
Health and Safety
* Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to Forth's Health and Safety policy, systems and procedures.
* Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety legislation
* Establish that all equipment, plant and substances used are suitable for the task and are kept in good working condition
* Take immediate and appropriate steps to report any risks to health and safety arising from the work activity.

Previous Experience
* Internal auditors training
* Quality Management Training
* Experience of managing and supervising staff
* IOSH training - Managing Safely (desirable)
Knowledge
* Knowledge of engineering processes would be desirable.
