Our client, a long-standing and reputable steel stockholder and processor, is looking to appoint a Steel Sales Executive to join their commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business with modern facilities, solid supply lines, and a loyal customer base.
Responsibilities:
* Manage and grow an existing customer base
* Proactively identify and convert new business opportunities
* Promote a full range of steel sheet products
* Prepare and issue competitive quotations, ensuring profitability and service quality
* Maintain strong relationships with buyers, production managers, and engineers
* Collaborate closely with operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment
* Use CRM systems to track pipeline activity and maintain customer data
* Stay up to date on market trends, pricing fluctuations, and competitor activity
Requirements:
* Proven sales experience in the steel industry
* Commercial awareness and strong negotiation skills
* Ability to manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* UK driving licence and willingness to visit customer sites when required
