Site Manager – South Devon
Location: South Devon
Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum + £5,000 car allowance + benefits
Contract: Permanent | Full-Time
We are working with a reputable regional contractor to recruit a Site Manager to manage a commercial build in South Devon. This is a logistically difficult site, therefore experience is essential. The company is known for delivering high-quality projects while maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Take full responsibility for the management and delivery of the allocated project.
2. Plan, organise, and supervise all site activities including demolition, groundworks, and new build construction.
3. Manage and coordinate subcontractors and direct labour, ensuring productivity and efficiency.
4. Ensure Health & Safety compliance, conducting site inductions, toolbox talks, and regular inspections.
5. Monitor project progress, identify risks to the programme, and take proactive measures to maintain schedule.
6. Liaise with clients, consultants, and project managers to ensure projects meet specifications and expectations.
7. Manage materials, plant, and equipment on site, ensuring efficient use and timely procurement.
8. Oversee quality control, ensuring all works meet both client and company standards.
9. Provide regular progress reports, attend site meetings, and maintain accurate site records.
Key Requirements
10. Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial construction projects, preferably involving demolition and new build.
11. Strong knowledge of construction methods, processes, and health & safety regulations.
12. Valid SMSTS certification.
13. Valid First Aid at Work certification.
14. CSCS Black or White card (essential).
15. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
16. Full UK driving licence.
