Overview
The Site Manager is responsible for the successful on-site delivery of construction projects, ensuring they arepleted safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves coordinating all site activities, managing subcontractors, maintainingpliance, and fostering strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Site Management
1. Organise and manage construction projects on-site from initiation through topletion.
2. Monitor progress against the programme, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions where required.
3. Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change control records, and as-built drawings.
4. Conduct regular site inspections to ensurepliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
5. Oversee and supervise all on-site activities, including subcontractor performance and coordination.
6. Manage and coordinate materials, plant, and labour to ensure efficient site operations.
Quality &pliance
7. Implement and maintain quality control processes, including ITPs and NCRs.
8. Ensure full adherence to building standards and safety regulations across all site activities.
9. Collaborate with clients, designers, engineers, and stakeholders to meet project requirements and provide regular updates.
10. Build and maintain strong working relationships to support client satisfaction and project success.
11. Manage and resolve construction-related issues, escalating where appropriate.
Leadership
12. Provide guidance and support to site teams, promoting a positive, safe, and productive working environment.
Continuous Improvement
13. Stay informed on industry trends and new technologies to enhance project delivery.
14. Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to ongoing operational excellence.
Qualifications & Skills Required
15. Proven experience in site or construction project management.
16. Strong understanding of building standards, safety regulations, and quality processes.
17. Excellent organisational and leadership abilities.
18. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resolve conflicts effectively.
19. Proficiency in project documentation and reporting.
20. SMSTS certification.
21. CSCS Gold Card (minimum).
22. NRSWA Supervisor accreditation.
23. First Aid training.
24. Fire Marshal training.
25. Valid UK driving licence.
Desirable
26. Temporary Works Supervisor training.
27. Lift Supervisor training.
