Key responsibilities
* Lead and maintain a professional, customer-focused HR function across the organisation.
* Support senior leaders with workforce planning and talent development.
* Provide expert advice and guidance on UK employment law, HR policies and employee relations matters.
* Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, development and offboarding.
* Lead recruitment and resourcing activity to attract and retain high-quality talent.
* Drive employee engagement, wellbeing and inclusion initiatives across the business.
* Support managers with performance management, absence management, disciplinary and grievance processes.
* Review HR policies, processes and systems to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
* Use HR data and insights to support decision‑making and continuous improvement.
* Support organisational change projects and help embed a positive, high‑performing culture.
* Manage and develop HR systems and technology to improve service delivery and reporting.
About you
We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR professional who is passionate about creating positive employee experiences and building strong working relationships across all levels of the business.
You will be a confident HR Manager with a hands‑on approach, able to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery in a fast‑paced environment. You will enjoy working collaboratively, influencing stakeholders and driving continuous improvement across people processes, culture and performance.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Previous experience in a senior HR Manager role
* Strong working knowledge of current UK employment law and HR best practice
* Experience supporting a multi‑site or fast‑paced workforce
* Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
* Confidence managing complex employee relations matters
* Experience leading change, improving processes and driving engagement initiatives
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* A proactive, solutions‑focused and commercially aware mindset
* CIPD qualification or equivalent experience
Experience within retail, fashion, wholesale or a customer‑focused environment would be advantageous, although not essential.
Job Type: Full‑time, Permanent
Pay, £38,000 - £42,000 per year: depending on Experience
