Our core business activities are teaching and learning, widening access to education, research and innovation and technology and knowledge transfer. - THE ROLE - As a key member of the School/Faculty Team, the role will support Academic Excellence in its broadest sense, as directed by the pressures/demands of the schools and faculties, at varying periods throughout the academic year/REF/TEF cycle. The role holder will provide a comprehensive and professional support service to the Faculty/School leadership teams. The role holder will be involved in undertaking project work, analysis and research under three broad headings: - Research, Teaching and Placement Support. However, while the main focus may be on one of these work streams, the focus may change according to the stage in the academic cycle e.g. REF/TEF preparation. - ABOUT YOU - - You will be the first point of contact for all enquires relating to Open Access, REF, PURE and Institutional Repository and, as appropriate, explaining processes and procedures. - You will support the incremental development of the REF submission including the maintenance and updating of all information and documentation on all REF-related activities. - You will actively participate, as required, in REF or research related project teams or User Groups, e.g. OA, Research Data Management and PURE project teams, etc. - You will edit research outputs in institutional repository, ensuring timely review of research outputs, advising researchers on their OA requirements and monitoring compliance with Open Access.
