Purpose of the role
The role entails two core focus areas:
1. Quality Management in Project Delivery - enhancing the delivery of the most complex and interesting projects in the world through the power of quality management. You will be a senior leader in our engagements with clients
2. Quality Management in Business Operations - pushing the discipline to new heights not only within Laminar but within the industry in general
Team
When working on engagements alongside our Project Management Consultancy Teams you will be asked to focuses on:

When working internally on QM in business operations, we want you to be working as a subject matter expert alongside our leadership team with the aim of developing and implementing quality improvements to exceptional standards to better enable our business operations.

Your Responsibilities for this role
On Engagements
9. Develop & Implement quality management systems: our clients will depend on your expert advice to make improvements to their quality management systems
10. Act as Quality Manager in Projects/Engagements: our clients will need you to be the responsible person for quality control and quality assurance in the project environment
On Business Operations
11. Own the development of Laminar’s quality management system: Own the quality management of the organisation and to provide expert advice, improvements and assurance
12. International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO): You will be responsible for ensuring Laminar maintain and achieve ISO standards
13. Quality Controls and Quality Assurance (QA/QC): You will be responsible for the core quality processes to ensure our high-standards are met and proactively controlled
General
14. Own the outcome: You may not be ultimately responsible for the project or organisational results but you are sure as heck responsible for putting in your best effort to ensure the team’s understanding and application of quality outcomes is paramount, no matter how stubborn they are!
15. Report and inform: Provide simple actionable reports to stakeholders at all levels that help them stay informed and able to make decisions on quality matters
16. Make scalable solutions: Develop scalable and repeatable best practices and tools in collaboration with the team so that long-term impact is achieved
17. Develop everyone: Maximise the development of your team personally and professionally and educate our clients to improve as well
Your Capabilities
You are a seasoned quality manager with the powers to transform any project or organisation you touch.
18. Must-Have (The fundamentals)
Mastery: Solid capability of quality management system implementation and maintenance. Expert developer of processes, procedures and reporting which take into account strategic objectives and the broad context you are operating in Communication : The charisma, influence and presence to get business and construction people to do new things and take the best approach Leadership : A proven leader/coach/developer of teams Impact : A track record of implementing scalable and repeatable solutions in projects that had a significant positive impact
19. Nice to Have (If you don’t have it now you will be trained intensively after joining)
Mastery: Expert user of quality management system applications. Deep academic/industry acumen in quality management of construction projects. Industry leading expert in a quality assurance Communication: Master of effective communication from the site to the boardroom. Leadership: A proven leader/coach/developer of teams of teams Impact: Impacts that have gone beyond a single project and improved organisations as a whole in a way that has spread to others
