Site Manager Location: Site based Wolverley, Shrewsbury Salary: 25.00 per hour Role Overview We are seeking a experienced Site Manager with a minimum of 5 years' experience to join our team. The position involves site management responsibilities from site preparation to project completion Full heating upgrade on A school. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm Person Specification As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for the preparation of sites prior to the commencement of construction work. Your role includes setting out the site, organising facilities, planning projects to meet agreed specifications and timescales, and overseeing building work. Key responsibilities include: Site Preparation and Planning: Setting out the site and organising facilities Planning projects to ensure they meet agreed specifications and timescales Overseeing all forms of civils and groundworks, including concrete foundation and drainage Sub-contractor and Team Management: Managing large sub-contractor teams and main contractor employees Experience in sub-contractor management Motivating the workforce and ensuring effective teamwork Client and Stakeholder Liaison: Liaising with clients and reporting progress Communicating with professional staff such as architects and surveyors, and the public Safety and Compliance: Conducting safety inspections and ensuring construction and site safety Maintaining quality control procedures Checking and preparing site reports, designs, and drawings Problem Solving and Reporting: Problem-solving and using specialist construction management computer applications Preparing internal and external reports on job status Additional Requirements: Holding a valid CSCS Card and H&S qualifications Being reliable, trustworthy, friendly, and flexible with a can-do approach to new tasks Having a full, clean Driving Licence due to travel between multiple active sites
