The role
Salary: £50,000 - 90,000 per year Requirements: We are looking for someone with a passion for training transformation and continuous improvement. We need proven experience creating e-learning content and technology-based learning solutions. We require excellent IT skills, including the ability to use in-house systems, MS Office, and SharePoint. We need someone able to prepare monthly data reports. We value strong collaboration, communication, and best-practice sharing across the business, customers, and wider team. We are looking for someone with attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to plan, multitask, and deliver on time. We need someone who can work independently and adapt to evolving priorities. Desirable: experience with the ADDIE model and the Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT). Desirable: training and/or instructional design experience. Desirable: knowledge of UK Ministry of Defence procedures and policies. Desirable: knowledge of quality assurance processes. Desirable: understanding of adult learning principles. Desirable: a relevant higher education qualification such as an FD, HND, or degree. Desirable: experience using professional web authoring software or rapid authoring tools. Responsibilities: We are accountable for all training courses assigned to us in relation to training transformation. We create active, engaging, inclusive, and learner-centred training content. We develop innovative e-Courseware using industry-standard rapid authoring tools for delivery across multiple platforms, including tablet and mobile. We ensure the end-to-end training design process is followed and that all processes are DSAT compliant and meet quality standards. We proactively address, resolve, and escalate issues that could delay delivery. We support the maintenance of management systems and the Learning Content Management System. We proactively seek feedback and impact stories to improve training courses and recognise success. We incorporate changes from internal and external validation into courseware design to keep training current and aligned to operational performance requirements. We maintain and validate training documentation and review Training Needs Analyses in line with the FTU Document Review Management Plan. We attend OEM Design Reviews, Factory Acceptance Tests, and Site Acceptance Tests to stay aligned with agreed training requirements. We deliver training courses and briefings on specific topics as required by the customer, ensuring compliance with MoD regulations and procedures, including DSAT. We build strong stakeholder relationships with subject matter experts to support training transformation. We identify opportunities for accreditation for new or amended training and assess implications for existing accreditations. We take responsibility for our own continuous professional development. We follow health and safety responsibilities for ourselves, colleagues, and customers. We follow security standards and system requirements to protect data and ensure smooth operations. We carry out any other duties required to support the FTU.
