CML are searching for someone unique - an individual who recognises that precision and process can balance the need for speed, driving continuous improvement, and excellence. This role is crucial for not only upholding our certified management systems but actively making them practical, embedded tools that generate real performance gains across our entire operation. This is What You’ll Do: Your influence will be key as you coach, educate, and motivate staff to understand the inherent value of quality—helping to transform complex standards into clear, actionable workflows, that allow us to exceed customer expectations, excel in rigorous audits, and consistently meet our internal targets. • Own the Integrated Management System: Lead, manage, and align our entire quality function with company goals and compliance directives. • Be the Audit Authority: Design and coordinate all internal and external audits to ensure strict adherence to regulatory standards and maintain all necessary certifications. • Champion Continual Improvement: Actively seek out and drive initiatives to consistently elevate our quality processes, practices, and efficiency. • Resolve & Prevent: Monitor quality performance (KPIs and audit results), manage all non-conformances, lead root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective actions to eliminate recurring issues. • Implementation: Conduct essential site inspections and audits across all contracts and offices to ensure our management systems are working in the real world. • Empower the Teams: Provide hands-on quality expertise and training to operational teams, supporting them with quality plans, checks, and problem-solving. • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Proactively maintain our Legislative Register, ensuring the business is always informed and compliant with the latest rules and announcements. • Support Growth: Lend your quality and compliance expertise to the work-winning and bidding process to showcase our competitive edge. This is Who You Are: You possess a rare combination: someone who balances meticulous attention to detail with the ability to engage and enthuse others. You excel at inspiring individuals and teams, driving cultural adoption and not simply policing standards. You don't wait for problems; you are inherently proactive, highly organized, and committed to continual improvement. You're comfortable and confident engaging with diverse teams across various sites and offices, naturally coaching and supporting colleagues to achieve success. In this position, your diligence, ability to influence, and commitment to quality will translate directly into measurable business improvements. These are the skills and experience you need: • Strong, practical knowledge of managing quality within an engineering or construction environment. • Hold a minimum Level 4 Qualification in a related field (Quality, Construction, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Science). • Must be a CQI Practitioner (minimum), with Chartered Member (preferred) status. • ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor experience (minimum) or certified (preferred).
