Event Sales Executive Reading - Leading Leisure/Hospitality brand £30,000 basic OTE £34,000 + career progression

We are looking for a pro-active Event Sales Executive in Reading, with experience going out to networking events, meeting clients and business development.

This is a stand-alone role, so we are looking for a candidate that has managed all sales from cold calling, dealing with enquiries, show rounds, closing deals, managing expectations of clients, working on package proposals.

You will need to be brilliant at following up with clients after corporate events and be confident at building relationships and outreaching to the local community, businesses, schools and colleges.

This is a very exciting role for a candidate who thrives in a dynamic fast paced environment and who loves to be seen as the face of the business and the life and soul of the party.

You will be based at the newest site in Reading and you will manage your own diary, looking at creating target lists, setting out their own numbers of cold calls, e-mails and marketing.

Hours are flexible and your working week will consist of meeting clients, going to events and being at the centre outside of normal 9-5 which is vital to the role.

The Role

1. Driving sales for your centre by creating and implementing robust sales and outreach activity that engage with different groups
2. Build and maintain long term relationships with key stakeholders and partners
3. Proactively source and convert new business opportunities
4. Work closely with the centre operations team to ensure seamless service delivery
5. Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets
6. Represent the brand at local events e.g. university open days to build brand presence
7. Provide regular reports and insight to management
8. Data collection and promotional work e.g. leafleting
9. Monitor competitor activity and industry trends and adapt strategies accordingly

To be successful, you'll have:

10. Previous sales experience (from hospitality/leisure industry/competitive socialising)
11. Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
12. Professional and confident in approach
13. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
14. Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
15. Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently
16. Full of fresh ideas to drive sales
17. Team player with a collaborative mindset
18. Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities or schedules
19. Enthusiastic and passionate about customer service excellence
20. Willingness to travel locally or regionally as required
21. Flexibility to work outside regular business hours when needed
