Site Manager – Energy / Heavy Civils
Necton, Norwich
12-Month Contract
We are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to lead delivery on a brand-new energy plant project based in Necton, Norwich.
This is a key role overseeing a complex scheme including substation works, transformer bases and installation, switch rooms, and RC frame works.
The Role:
1. Manage day-to-day site operations on a live energy project including High Voltage
2. Chair meetings and have regular liaison with the client
3. Oversee transformer base construction and installation works
4. Coordinate substation and switch room delivery
5. keep up to date with all paperwork, ITP’s, Early warning notices, permits and all H&S documentation
6. Lead and manage up to 60 personnel on site
7. Work closely with the Project Manager to maintain programme and progress
8. Use MS Projects and digital tools to track timelines and reporting
9. Ensure all HSE and quality standards are met
This role is more office-based than hands-on, with a strong focus on planning, coordination, and reporting.
Requirements:
10. Proven experience as a Site Manager within energy and Heavy Civils projects
11. Strong background in substations / power / infrastructure schemes
12. Excellent organisational and IT skills (MS Project essential)
13. Ability to manage large site teams and multiple workstreams
14. Strong communication and leadership skills
