We’re looking for an experienced business development professional to grow strategic corporate income and build long-term partnerships. Role overview You will lead new corporate business activity, securing five- and six-figure partnerships that support organisational priorities. Working within the corporate and community function, you’ll manage a proactive pipeline, nurture senior relationships, and produce high-quality partnership proposals and pitches. The role requires strong collaboration across teams and a commercial, donor-focused approach. Key responsibilities New business & partnerships * Lead identification, cultivation and conversion of new corporate supporters. * Research target organisations and map decision-makers. * Initiate outreach and manage both warm and self‑generated leads. * Produce tailored proposals, presentations and pitches to secure substantial partnerships. * Respond to incoming corporate proposals and enquiries. Events & engagement * Project‑manage webinars and regional networking events to engage stakeholders. * Monitor trends in corporate responsibility, fundraising practice, and the sector. Strategy & leadership * Support and coach volunteers, interns or junior colleagues involved in partnership work. * Work within legal, regulatory and organisational policies and processes. * Participate in performance reviews and maintain development objectives. Operational delivery * Maintain a personal work plan and take ownership of targets and KPIs. * Use CRM to record all activity, ensure data integrity and support data-driven decisions. * Manage time and resources effectively and resolve problems using initiative. Supporter experience * Build and maintain professional relationships with corporate funders and suppliers. * Represent the organisation externally and ensure high levels of supporter satisfaction. Person specification Essential * Proven experience in corporate fundraising, sponsorship or B2B business development. * Track record of generating new business and managing a corporate prospect pipeline. * Skilled in proposal/bid writing, presenting and negotiating high-value partnerships. * Confident building relationships with senior stakeholders. Desirable * Experience in the charitable/non-profit sector or delivering large-scale corporate partnerships. Skills & attributes * Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. * Strong networking and stakeholder management ability. * Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems. * Creative, proactive and solutions-focused with strong attention to detail. * Able to work at pace and manage multiple priorities. * Collaborative, positive and adaptable.
