Overview
Site Manager (Retrofit) – Location: Bristol or Basingstoke office, Site based around Chippenham, Royal Wootton Bassett, Newbury and surrounding areas. Typically working Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week. As Site Managers for Novus, you’ll see the impact and improvements your role delivers to customers and the team every day.
Responsibilities
* Supported by peers, team, and management to solve problems and trusted to make decisions to grow and develop relationships and revenue.
* Ensuring the smooth running of multiple designated sites, ensuring all site personnel carry out their tasks efficiently and effectively to enable the contract to be completed on time, with zero defects, within budget and with no risk to the health and safety of their operational team, the client, or the general public.
* Delivering varied works including solar, insulation and ventilation measures, windows and doors.
* Collecting relevant documentation, evidence recording, and meeting tight deadlines to satisfy SHDF requirements.
* Manage site teams, work activities and resources to meet the requirements of individual contracts.
* Manage the selection and formation of site personnel teams (including subcontractors).
* Collate all pre‑construction information (packs, asbestos surveys, etc.).
* Ensure all necessary contract documentation and reports are accurate and produced on time in conjunction with the Contracts Manager.
* Identify site hazards and ensure risk assessments and control methods are implemented via the construction phase health and safety plan.
* Ensure all sites work comply with legal and statutory requirements, including health, safety and welfare.
* Assist in the preparation process for estimates, bids and tenders in partnership with the Contracts Manager.
* Create, manage and report on projects with multiple, live site locations through the use of a master programme.
Qualifications
* Strong experience in planned refurbishment works and preferably some good working retrofit knowledge within social housing/tenanted properties.
* Good working knowledge of internal and external works, including solar, insulation and ventilation measures and window and door installations.
* Experience managing the delivery through to completion/handover, including understanding complex documentation and evidence collating to tight deadlines.
* Managing multiple sites at any given time.
* Commercial awareness ensuring costs meet budget requirements.
* Great communication skills to build relationships with the client and tenants alike.
* Full UK driving licence for site travel.
* SMSTS or associated NVQ, 3‑day First Aid, confident with IT and proficient in MS Office.
* DBS check required.
