Location: Hedge End, Southampton, On-site

Contract: Full-time, permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm

Probationary period: 6 months


Role Description

We’re looking for a Dealer Sales Executive to join our business in a permanent role, working full-time hours (37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 9:00am until 5:30pm). This is an on-site role based at our headquarters in Hedge End, Southampton.

Our Dealer Sales Executive will build and develop strong relationships with our customers, primarily focused on re-engaging under-performing dealers. This is a proactive role based full-time in our Southampton office which will involve plenty of outbound calling, proactive emailing and relationship building with customers, aiming to increase their awareness of the products and services offered by Syndico. As a secondary focus, they will reactively respond to inbound customer sales enquiries professionally and efficiently.


Key Roles and Responsibilities

* Engage in regular proactive contact with dealers identified as “under-performing”, aiming to improve their awareness of Syndico’s products and services and – ultimately – increase their spend.
* Arrange and attend virtual customer meetings via Microsoft Teams.
* Keep highly accurate and detailed CRM records of all customer interactions, as well as ongoing cleansing and improving of CRM data.
* Provide professional and efficient sales support to inbound sales enquiries, both via phone and email.
* Become a general product expert, keeping up-to-date with product and industry developments.
* Identify new sales opportunities, regularly communicating with key internal stakeholders (Head of Sales and Commercial and Marketing Development Manager).
* Follow-up with leads from marketing campaigns or events in a timely and professional manner, with continued engagement to turn leads into customers.
* Provide the Business Development Team with ad-hoc support where required.
* Occasional travel may be required, for example to customer meetings, Syndico partner events, trade shows, or supplier meetings.

* Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of conversing with a range of individuals – including senior external stakeholders (many of our customers are owner-managed).
* Energetic, positive and motivated to succeed, with the ability for short-term failure to fuel long-term success.
* Excellent writing skills, which can be applied to customer and supplier-facing emails and accurate CRM notes.
* Excellent numeracy skills, with a sound understanding of key sales metrics.
* The ability to be a “sponge”, soaking up and retaining useful information from all around.


Performance in this role

Performance is measured by the following KPIs:

* Sales growth with assigned accounts.
* Outbound call activity and frequency.
* Customer satisfaction scores and feedback.
