I am currently working with a leading provider of temporary works and engineering solutions, supporting infrastructure, construction, and utilities projects across the UK. They pride themselves on delivering innovative, safe, and sustainable solutions. I am looking to recruit an HR officer on a temporary ongoing basis to support their HR team.
Your new role
I am currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Officer/Administrator to join our HR team on a temp basis for a 3-6 month period.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide day-to-day HR support to managers and employees
2. Support employee relations matters, including absence, disciplinary and grievance processes
3. Administrative duties - supporting the wider HR team
4. Assist with recruitment activities, onboarding, and induction processes
5. Maintain accurate employee records and ensurepliance with GDPR
6. Support HR reporting, data analysis, and system updates
7. Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
8. Ensurepany policies and procedures are applied consistently
What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience of working in an officer/administrator role within an HR function -
9. Knowledge of HR processes and employment legislation
10. Excellent organisational andmunication skills
11. High level of attention to detail and confidentiality
12. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
13. Proficient in Microsoft Office and in-house systems
14. CIPD level 3 is desirable but not essential.
What you'll get in return
You will be employed on a temporary ongoing basis and will be based in Wigan with the rest of the HR team. The organisation offers hybrid working, and you will work between 2 and 3 days from home per week post training. You will be paid from £ - £ per hour depending on previous experience. There is free parking on site, and you will work Monday to Friday hours per week. The role may be subject to extension depending on performance and business needs.
