The Client
My Client is a leading UK house builder and due to considerably increasing their units, they are looking to recruit a Site Manager for one of their sites in West Bromwich. This house builder produces a wide range of homes for Housing Associations across the Country.
The Role
Reporting to the Construction Manager you will be responsible for the daily management of a busy new build housing development ensuring properties are built to a high standard within budget and programme. You will be number 1 on site and with support from the Construction & Commercial teams, you will be required to help push this site to completion and hand over.
Duties
Experienced in supervision of refurbishment projects.
Full understanding of all aspects and responsibilities associated with the monitoring of safe execution of works in accordance with legislation and company procedures.
Knowledgeable and experienced to determine works and requirements as per the company's contractual obligations.
Able to determine method of work, phasing and programming and organise materials, plant, equipment, direct labour and subcontractor resources to satisfy accordingly.
Experienced to establish and maintain on-site administrative
systems and to report as required.
Experienced in technical requirements and quality levels to
enable works to be monitored for compliance with design,
specification and clients quality expectations.
Commercial awareness to ensure site operations and
preliminaries remain within budget.
Ability to monitor progress and resource requirements to satisfy
overall project delivery.
Excellent communication skills with project team, client
representatives, residents and external providers.
Problem solving skills.
Ability to motivate others.
Skills & Experience Required
Must have previous experience of working for large house builders at Site Management level
Must have up-to-date knowledge of health and safety obligations and building legislation CSCS Supervisory Card, CITB SMSTS, Scaffold Safety Inspection, First Aider, Fire Warden, Asbestos Awareness, Full UK Driving License, CIOB Chartered Status, COSHH Assessments, Risk Assessments & Method Statements, Working at Heights, Noise and Vibration, Manual Handling, Needles & Drug related waste awareness
