We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Regional Grounds Manager to join our team based in Dove Holes. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, flexible, good communicator, willing to learn and who wants to make a difference and drive standards.
Main responsibilities for the Assistant Regional Grounds Manager:
Leading teams and carrying out scheduled work to a high standard
General maintenance of site - Grass cutting, pruning, leaf collection, weed control, etc.
Use of a range of hand and powered equipment and ride-on mowers
Scheduling of line marking i.e. sports pitches and upkeep of artificial/synthetic surfaces
Ensure company policies (including H&S) are communicated and adhered to
Making sure all daily checks have been completed by the team on relevant plant and machinery.
Completion of all necessary job records
Pricing for new work
Attending meetings in person or on teams
Client liaison including site visits and submission of quotations
Resolving issues that arise day to day
Responsible for arranging the holiday and sickness cover for colleagues.
The successful applicant will have:
Experience in commercial or amenity grounds maintenance
Great communication and liaison skills
Ability to work under own initiative and tight deadlines
Essential: Clean current driving licence
Possession of PA1 and PA6 Pesticide Application Certificates (desired)Good plant knowledge
Experience of towing trailers with various plant machinery.
