Grounds manager job description

As a Grounds Manager, you are tasked with overseeing the maintenance and development of landscapes, parks, and gardens. Your responsibilities cover a wide range of duties from planning and organising to supervising the upkeep of green spaces. You are expected to have a strong understanding of horticulture, as well as practical skills in using gardening tools and machinery. A good Grounds Manager possesses excellent leadership skills and has a keen eye for detail, ensuring that the grounds under their care are not only safe but aesthetically pleasing as well. Your role also involves liaising with clients, staff, and suppliers, which requires strong communication skills.
