Are you passionate about delivering great service and supporting people? We’re looking for an organised and customer focused HR Administrator to join our HR Shared Services team here at Travis Perkins plc.

What you’ll be doing

As a HR Administrator, you’ll play a key role in supporting colleagues throughout their HR journey, ensuring a smooth, positive and timely experience. Every day will bring something different, you’ll handle queries, process key documents, update HR systems and support continuous improvements across the function.

In this role you’ll:

1. Act as a first line point of contact for HR queries via email, phone and online portals
2. Provide clear, accurate responses and escalate queries where specialist support is needed
3. Maintain HR systems and ensure data is accurate, secure and GDPR compliant
4. Produce and process HR documentation such as contracts and onboarding paperwork
5. Work closely with central HR teams to support shared goals and service levels
6. Support communication across the colleague lifecycle
7. Help us identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the colleague experience
We’d love to hear from you if you:

8. Have a background in customer service or HR administration
9. Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to change
10. Are confident using IT systems (Google Docs/Sheets, Excel etc.)
11. Have great attention to detail and take pride in your work
12. Are friendly, approachable and able to handle confidential information professionally
13. Are proactive, organised and keen to learn
Experience in payroll, benefits, HR service centres or first-line HR support would be a bonus, and if you’re working towards a CIPD qualification, even better, but neither are essential.
