About the opportunity:
In this flexible, field based role, you will manage Pre-Feasibility Study and non PFS construction sites within your assigned region, liaising with a range of key stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of projects in compliance with relevant standards and specifications and within budget.
This role is suited to someone based in Milton Keynes or the surrounding areas.
What you’ll do:
1. Work closely with Project Managers to effectively plan projects, ensuring that all project requirements, specification, design drawings, health and safety proposals are read, understood and agreed, and that a project management program is in place.
2. Maintain the work schedule and track progress, copying weekly records to Project Manager/office.
3. Maintain and track deliveries of stock and materials
4. Check that all materials are compliant with technical and quality specifications; all works are done to technical standards.
5. Ensure the safety of public, site visitors and staff on site at all times
6. Supervise and manage all site operatives, overseeing all aspects of their work
7. Ensuring understanding and compliance with companies Safety, Health, Environment and Quality policies and procedures all the times.
8. Ensure highest SHEQ standards are enforced.
9. Work with our ICP teams EV charge teams
10. Work to CDM regulations
About you:
You have been in a similar role for a least 2 years and have a solid understanding of construction works combined with onsite project management. A naturally motivated team player, you are adept collaborating at all levels and enjoy interacting with a broad range of trades and stakeholders. You appreciate variety and have a flexible approach to your work in relation to travel. The following skills and attributes will ensure you are set you up to succeed:
11. SMSTS Qualification
12. Experience working in public high traffic areas
13. Understanding and interpretation of site drawings
14. Understanding of site surveys to ensure avoidance of buried services
15. Natural leadership, planning & organisational skills
16. Problem solving with the ability to deal with multiple issues simultaneously and to a conclusion
17. CSCS card holder
18. Full UK Driving License
Additional / desirable:
19. Experience of ICP / IDNO projects and sites
20. Industry background/experience
21. UKPIA/SPA accredited
22. NRSWA Street works qualified (either Supervisor or Operative)
23. Experience working on petrol forecourt sites would be a plus
24. H&S Safety qualification (IOSH, NEBOSH etc.)
