We have a really wonderful and kind client who is searching for a Full Time, Permanent Live in/Out Housekeeper/Cook is required for a large 11 bedroom property near Cheltenham. Accommodation can be provided in a lovely 2 bed, 2 bathroom property (partners considered, but no pets or children), with all bills covered. Alternatively, the family are happy for a local live out candidate, but the candidate must be happy to stay overnight at the property for regular house sitting over weekends. (The candidate will not be able to bring their own pet so best for someone with no ties who is free to do this).
The role would be best suited to a hard working, self motivated and flexible individual with previous private household experience, who is able to cook and happy to do housekeeping/pet care.
In residence at any one time could be between 2-12 people, including young children, so it is essential the candidate is energetic and child friendly. When the household is full, there will be a full local team in place to help, so it is important the candidate can work well with others and enjoys being part of a team. There are other housekeepers on a daily basis to support this role.
When the family are in residence, simple family cooking will be required, plus housekeeping duties, and keeping the home in order (with the additional help of other full and part time staff members who help to clean). It is very important the candidate is happy to do simple cooking but is also happy (and enjoys) to do housekeeping.
When the family are not in residence, the candidate will need to be in residence as security and to house/pet sit (3 dogs and 3 cats), keep the house clean and organised. The house should be kept in excellent order, and ready for guest arrivals at all times.
The candidate should be experienced and able to contact contractors for any maintenance work, and be on top of any issues occurring and sort them quickly. The candidate will be in charge of ordering for groceries and household supplies. Experience in a similar role is essential. Driver with own car a must.
This really is a lovely role for a wonderful client in a beautiful part of the world, and we are looking for someone who is serious about securing a permanent position and who is looking to settle long term.
Salary depends on experience but IRO £40-45,000 (live in).. The accommodation provided is all part of the package, with no bills payable.
Days and hours: You must be happy to work weekends, with two days off in the week. It will not be every weekend, but it is important the candidate accepts they will be busiest at the weekends when the family is in residence. Hours approx 40 hour week, with flexibility to do additional hours when needed.
This job is paid on a payroll. Trials will take place before a job offer is made.
