About the role
We are looking to recruit a Peripatetic Cook to join our Catering team in the Ceredigion area on a permanent basis.
You will be expected to manage the school kitchens on a day-to day basis according to the standards laid down by Ceredigion County Council.
The role includes:
1. Travelling to various sites throughout the County as needed;
2. General kitchen duties including washing up of equipment and utensils and the cleaning of all areas and surrounds;
3. To prepare and serve meals to residents and pupils;
4. Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen at all times;
5. Ensuring observance of Food Safety and Environmental Health standards.
On a day to day basis you will:
6. Undertake the preparation and serving of meals;
7. General kitchen duties including washing up of equipment and utensils and the cleaning of all areas and surrounds;
8. Setting up the tables and clearing if required;
9. Recording the temperature of food at the point of service;
10. Ensuring observance of Food Safety and Environmental Health standards;
11. Ensuring EEC standards on Manual Handling;
12. General Health and Safety of kitchen including hazardous equipment.
