Reporting to the Assistant Principal Quality, you will support, challenge, and coach teaching staff, embedding a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring the very highest standards for learners. You will support, challenge and coach staff, ensuring high expectations are embedded and that quality processes deliver meaningful impact for learners. You will: Drive improvement in teaching, learning and assessment in line with Ofsted priorities and EIF expectations Design, deliver and evaluate high‑quality CPD and professional learning programmes Coach and support teaching staff, including newly qualified and trainee teachers Lead and contribute to quality assurance processes, including SARs, QIPs and audits Conduct and lead observations of teaching, learning and assessment across delivery models Analyse performance data and learner feedback to inform improvement activities Support curriculum teams to be consistently inspection‑ready Coordinate and lead Internal Verifiers, ensuring assessment quality exceeds awarding body standards Work collaboratively with Heads of Institute, HR and senior leaders to support effective performance management Actively engage learners and ensure their voice drives quality improvement Contribute to cross‑college groups, initiatives and external networks focused on quality and best practice This role is ideal for a quality professional who combines strong judgement with a coaching mindset, is confident challenging practice when needed, and is passionate about raising standards for every learner. About You You will be an experienced and credible education professional with: A degree or equivalent professional qualification A postgraduate teaching or education qualification (e.g. PGCE / Cert Ed) Proven and current experience as an outstanding teaching and learning practitioner Strong experience of quality improvement and assurance within FE or education Current experience of Ofsted inspection and quality frameworks Excellent communication, coaching and influencing skills A commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion and safeguarding Evidence of ongoing professional development and reflective practice Minimum Level 2 Maths and English The ability to travel between sites and work flexibly when required Desirable: Leadership or management qualification (or willingness to work towards) Experience of EFQM / TQS processes Experience of managing people and/or budgets Ready to Make a Difference?
