Job Title: Event Sales Executive
Location: Mansfield Traquair, EH3 6BB or North Fort Street, EH6 4HJ
Salary: £28,000 to £30,000 plus performance Bonus
Work Pattern: 40hrs/ Predominately Monday - Friday, with some evening and weekend working

This is a rare opportunity to join the team behind one of Edinburghs most iconic and beautiful event venues. Were looking for an Event Sales Executive who can bring energy, confidence and commercial flair to a varied and exciting role, helping clients turn ideas into unforgettable events.
At Mansfield Traquair, no two days are the same. One day you could be welcoming couples and building rapport for a dream wedding, the next you might be working on gala dinners, drinks receptions, canapé events, whisky festivals or multi-site corporate experiences. If you love the buzz of events, know how to build trust quickly, and can confidently hold your own with clients, this could be the perfect next step.
What You'll Do:
Achieve defined sales objectives and targets for Mansfield Traquair through a targeted sales plan and proactive management of key accounts and new business
Assist with monthly forecast reporting and review of previous previous YOY trends
Conduct all site visits with potential clients with sufficient knowledge of the venue to ensure that all events are workable for the wider team
Utilise the flexibility within the venue hire matrix to give the best possible chance of reaching budget
Ensure all clients have a contract with T&Cs, and we in turn receive a returned signed contract
Proactively encourage positive business relationship with venue client principles

What You Bring:
Excellent business relationship skills
Proven success in achieving sales targets
Proven success in a sales role and strong negotiation skills
Previous experience in the MICE market is an advantage
Knowledge of the event market in Scotland
Confident, ambitious and passionate, with the ability to use own initiative
Ability to build strong client relationships and understand their needs
Excellent people skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and deliver measurable sales targets
Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple demands
