An exciting opportunity has become available at NRG Riverside within our Bellshill depot and we are looking for an experienced Service Desk Manager to join the team and help us on our journey to growth. In this role, you will be responsible for the leading and managing the service desk team within the Bellshill facility who are responsible for compliance & scheduling of the fleet, third party maintenance provision including cost management and recording & actioning appropriately any unscheduled events. To manage to the highest standards of quality and service delivery efficiently with a “right first-time fix” philosophy ensuring best customer experience.

Who will you be working for?
NRG Riverside is the UK’s largest municipal and specialist fleet hire company, we provide specialist vehicles on short and long-term hire, a range of vehicle maintenance packages and we offer a large portfolio of high-quality used vehicles for sale. NRG Riverside has the skills, knowledge, and expertise to support all your operational needs. Established in 1996, we’ve supported our valued customers to rationalise and decarbonise their fleets, save money and improve efficiency by reducing ‘Vehicle Off Road’ (VOR) time.
What candidate are we looking for?
* 5 years’ experience within a similar role within workshop management (preferable)
* HGV IMI Level 3 or City & Guilds Equivalent (preferable)
* Fleet Management Experience (essential)
* Previous Repair & Maintenance contract experience (essential)
* Able to demonstrate leadership within a similar role (essential)
What will be your duties?
* As the Service Desk Manager, you will manage the fleet compliance & budget under your control inclusive of identifying problematic vehicles and poor service providers where applicable, making changes to bring about a positive outcome.
* To oversee the scheduling of vehicle chassis, body, and hoist servicing within the workshop, Mobile Engineers or with third party suppliers
* Management of experienced mobiles engineers including health & safety, van maintenance, stock control, productivity & moral ensuring our customer receive the best service possible.
* Raise jobs on Rams, upload relevant information ensuring best value for money is being achieved.
* To authorise and monitor all third-party costs associated with repair and maintenance.
* To make sure internal & external suppliers are operating within the SLA guidelines.
* Ensure repairs are carried out in the most cost-effective way.
* Develop and maintain productive relationships with key customers & suppliers to ensure the successful delivery of the customers’ requirements are met
* Manage bookings with workshops with a view to minimising downtime for the operator.
* Attend meetings on and off site with customers and/or suppliers to resolve any issues.
* To receive, log and action any breakdowns that come in.
* Assist the Quality fleet engineer with manual audits at supplier premises.
