Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our culinary team as a part time cook To start theme nights in our new additional kitchen. We are starting with 1 night beer week then to branch to 3 nights a week.
This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, where you will be responsible for food preparation, cooking, and maintaining high standards of food safety. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in culinary arts and demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Duties
* Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to established recipes and menus.
* Cook and present dishes in line with restaurant standards, ensuring quality and consistency.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service.
* Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
* Participate in menu planning and development, offering creative input based on seasonal ingredients.
* Provide support during service, including plating dishes and serving when necessary.
Skills
* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment.
* Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
* Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations to ensure compliance.
* Previous experience in a restaurant setting is highly desirable.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
