Job Title: Quality Manager
Murphy is recruiting for a Quality Manager to work with the Energy Team on the National Grid, Uxbridge Moor Project. Our business is known for its expertise, experience, and innovation in the industry, supporting groundbreaking transmission and distribution projects across four countries.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Establish and lead best practices in quality in collaboration with the Quality function.
2. Support and educate the engineering community on site to improve quality standards.
3. Ensure compliance with all requirements in the Quality Plans by working with site management teams.
4. Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify adherence to company policies and procedures.
5. Promote accurate reporting of nonconformances and advise on corrective actions.
6. Manage and review quality statistics for reporting purposes.
7. Develop and implement quality improvement campaigns and plans.
8. Assist in the preparation and review of quality documentation, including third-party documents.
9. Oversee the production of quality plans and procedures, ensuring compliance.
10. Identify significant quality issues and help establish appropriate controls in operation units, contracts, or yards.
11. Maintain relevant professional memberships such as MCQI.
12. Proven experience in a senior or managerial role.
13. Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, MS Project).
14. Solid understanding of ISO 9001 standards.
15. Experience in engineering or construction environments.
