Supply Heroes are working in partnership with Lacon Childe School, a well-regarded and community-focused high school in Kidderminster, to recruit a dedicated and experienced Deputy Catering Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the school’s busy kitchen, providing healthy, nutritious meals to pupils and staff.
You’ll work closely with the Catering Manager, leading the catering team in delivering excellent service, maintaining high food hygiene standards, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

Assisting the Catering Manager in the day-to-day running of the school kitchen
*
Supervising catering staff and delegating tasks effectively
*
Preparing and serving meals in line with nutritional and dietary requirements
*
Ensuring all food is prepared, cooked, and served to a high standard
*
Managing stock levels, placing orders, and monitoring deliveries
*
Maintaining hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards in accordance with regulations
*
Supporting the planning and delivery of special events and theme days
The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience in a catering management or supervisory role, ideally in an educational or similar environment
*
A recognised food hygiene/safety qualification (Level 2 or above)
*
Strong organisational and leadership skills
*
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
*
Excellent communication skills and a team-focused attitude
