Priory Adult Care is the UK's leading independent provider of specialist adult care services. With community-based residential care settings, as well as a network of supported living services, we support adults over the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and behaviours that challenge. Newhouse is located in the semi-rural village of Hurlford, near Kilmarnock, Scotland. Our home offers residential support for 22 adults with a primary learning disability diagnosis, who may also have physical health needs, or be on the autism spectrum.
As cook it will be your responsibility to plan, prepare and present high quality food and hospitality for our residents. Ensure all food preparation meets the requirements of COSHH, Food safety and health & safety regulations
Manage food budgets and stocks, checking deliveries as required and placing them in the appropriate storage areas.
Ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained in all areas of the kitchen
Overall kitchen staff management, training, recruiting and rotas.
We are looking for a confident individual and someone who has relevant experience in a similar sized kitchen and qualifications in food hygiene, prep and cookery. you will need to have the ability to think on your feet, a passion for food and the service you provide.
