Role Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Developer Intern to join our technology team in London. This internship offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of quantitative research, technology, and financial markets, contributing to the development of advanced trading systems and analytical frameworks. The role is ideal for candidates with strong analytical backgrounds and a passion for software engineering, data, and financial technology. As a Junior Developer Intern, you will collaborate with portfolio managers, quantitative researchers, and technologists to design and optimize systems that turn data into insights and insights into execution. You will gain hands-on experience in data analysis, model implementation, and AI-driven systematic investment strategies while working on real-world projects that impact our trading operations. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain internal tools, shared platforms, and analytical systems that drive research and trading operations. Collaborate with quantitative researchers and data scientists to translate complex methodologies into efficient, production-ready code. Build and optimize data pipelines, backtesting frameworks, and research infrastructure. Contribute to the automation and scalability of data ingestion, transformation, and analysis workflows. Support software deployment and version control practices using GIT and modern CI/CD tools. Qualifications & Skills Currently pursuing a Master’s or PhD in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Physics. Demonstrated ability to contribute to internal tools or shared platforms through academic or personal projects, with attention to user needs and practical application. Strong programming skills in Python; experience with C++, Java, or C# is a plus. Solid understanding of data analytics, statistics, and methodological problem-solving. Experience with GIT and collaborative development practices. Ability to collaborate in a dynamic, high-performance environment.
