The site employs approximately 300 people and produces wafers supporting analog integrated circuits and discrete components used across automotive, industrial, consumer, communications, and computing markets. Headquartered in the United States, our client employs over 8,000 people worldwide across more than 20 global locations, with manufacturing operations in the UK, Europe, and Asia. The Role We are recruiting an IT Graduate Software Engineer to join the Management Decision Systems and Supply Chain team based at the Greenock facility. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to begin their career in a fast-paced manufacturing and supply chain environment, contributing to data-driven decision-making and digital transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities Apply data analysis and statistical techniques to supply chain projects and initiatives Analyse complex datasets and provide actionable insights to support operational and strategic decisions Support data analysis activities for special and cross-functional projects Work closely with global teams to understand business challenges and contribute to effective solutions Prepare and present data findings and insights to management Support ongoing digital transformation initiatives within the supply chain function Candidate Profile BSc (First or 2:1) or MSc in Software Engineering, Computing, or Applications Development A self-motivated graduate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Comfortable working in a professional, collaborative team environment Preferred Skills & Knowledge Programming experience in Python, R, or Java Data querying and wrangling using SQL Familiarity with data analytics workflows (e.g. Jupyter Notebook ) Exposure to machine learning (supervised and unsupervised techniques) Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau Understanding of mathematics, statistics, software engineering, and networking fundamentals Ability to develop dashboards using curated datasets Interest in big data analytics tools and distributed systems Strong communication, organisational, and analytical skills What's on Offer A permanent graduate opportunity within a global manufacturing organisation Hands-on experience in supply chain analytics and digital transformation Exposure to cutting-edge analytics, data, and decision-support technologies The opportunity to work with experienced global teams in a technically advanced environment
