What You’ll Do
* Manage the Full Recruitment Lifecycle: Oversee all stages of recruitment, from taking job briefs to managing offers.
* Proactive Sourcing: Focus on outreach, build relationships across networks, and constantly look for new ways to find A-players.
* Candidate Assessment: Conduct effective video interviews, assessing skills and behaviours against role requirements, and identify high‑potential candidates who align to our values.
* Partner with Hiring Managers: Collaborate to define ideal candidate profiles, align expectations, advise on market insights, and support hiring managers in making confident, high‑quality decisions.
* Candidate Management: Provide an exceptional candidate experience from start to finish, ensuring clear communication, timely updates, and a respectful, human process for every applicant.
* Challenge & Improve Recruitment Processes: Give and receive feedback to refine our approach, identifying opportunities to streamline, innovate, and elevate our recruitment standards.
* Lead & Support Recruitment Initiatives: Support employer branding activities, careers events, recruitment campaigns, and talent‑focused projects that strengthen our pipeline and showcase EMJ as a high‑performance, values‑driven company.
Who You Are
* Recruitment Experience: 360 recruitment experience, with a focus on candidate assessment and experience. Knowledge of recruiting roles in publishing is a bonus.
* Growth Mindset: Enthusiastic and passionate about recruitment, motivated to continuously improve and make our recruitment journey and employer brand best in class.
* Organised & detail‑oriented: Ability to manage multiple tasks, track progress, and follow up reliably.

Key Information
* Hours: 8.30am – 5pm, Monday – Friday
* Reporting to: Head of Recruitment and Retention
* Salary: £35,000
* Location: London/Moorgate office
* Working pattern: Hybrid, 3 days in the office (5 days in the office during probation)
To support your training and development during your initial three‑month probation, this period will be fully office‑based, five days a week. Following this, a regular office presence of at least three days a week is anticipated to maintain collaboration and team connection.
Note: This role is called Recruiter internally.
