We are now looking for a Quality Manager to join our team. Role Purpose: The role is responsible for developing and enforcing quality standards, supporting continuous improvement, managing the Quality Department, ensuring compliance (AS9100 and ISO9001 etc.), overseeing inspections/testing, driving root cause analysis for defects, and working with production/suppliers to meet customer specs, reducing waste, and upholding a quality culture. Key Responsibilities: General & Task Management Ensure that all in-house systems and procedures are updated, revised and modified to meet the needs of external certification bodies Develop and maintain procurement metrics to track performance, identify areas for improvement and report on sourcing effectiveness Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes, documentation, commercial assurance and risk mitigation Improve the overall performance of the department Provide reporting and detail as ana d when required and represent the department in relevant meetings Introduce innovative ideas to help shape the Quality function Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems Stay current and up to date on any changes that may affect the supply and demand of needed products and materials and advise others of any impact Update quality documentation and communicate to carry forward lessons learned from quality Lead regular inspection meetings with representatives from appropriate departments to establish an action plan for improving build quality Ensure that all necessary systems and procedures are in place to satisfy all customer requirements and audits Introduce new systems and procedures where appropriate Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and business best practice at all times People Management Manage and lead the team(s), ensuring adequate staffing levels, managing holiday allowances, recruitment, training, development, appraisal, attendance, disciplinary issues and daily supervision to maximise efficient productivity Motivate and coach the team to operational success Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviours expected of them Review, implement and update company records e.g. training matrices, performance reviews, risk assessments Lead the team in new process introduction Relationship Management Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate development, delivery and compliance with the logistics strategy Communicate and recommend solutions without compromising quality or service while optimising cost Self-Management Support, comply and ensure complicity with Health & Safety regulations, the company handbook, and all other Company policies and procedures Support encourages and develops team and proactively contribute to creating a good team atmosphere Anticipate and overcomes obstacles Make useful links to arrive at insightful plans and solutions Embrace personal challenge Confident, rounded thinking Take ownership for team cohesion Be self-aware Be resilient, optimistic and open to change Have an Adult, collaborative approach to others Skills & Attributes: Exercises comprehensive discretion in judgement and initiative in setting and implementing goals Understanding of logistics processes in a motorsport environment Understanding of engineering, scientific and other technical information Strong people management skills, with experience leading multi-disciplinary teams Agile and flexible approach to fluctuating workloads Ability to work under pressure, maintain accuracy and keep to deadlines Problem solver and results orientated Negotiation and influencing skills The ability to solve problems and make decisions, as well as to think strategically and laterally Qualifications & Experience: Sound knowledge of working to AS9100 & ISO9001 Standards an advantage A background in Aerospace / Automotive / Motorsport Manufacturing Strong planning skills Strong understanding of audit and compliance Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams IT literacy, skills in Excel and the ability to handle electronic data Benefits: A competitive salary which will reflect your career to date, as well as your skills and level of experience Performance related bonus 35 days standard annual leave Generous non-contributory pension scheme Company-wide team activity events A private medical health scheme Life assurance Salary exchange car scheme* As an equal opportunity's employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation, or age.
