Senior Site Manager - Cheshire - £1.2m Refurbishment - 8 Months
I'm working with a well-established main contractor who are delivering a £1.2m refurbishment project for an assisted living and care facility in Cheshire.
This role offers the opportunity to take a lead on a sensitive and high-profile scheme, with direct liaison between the client, site team, and residents.
The successful candidate will be supported by a Site Manager and will play a key role in ensuring smooth delivery while maintaining excellent stakeholder relations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Leadership:
Lead site operations on a day-to-day basis, ensuring project milestones and deadlines are achieved.
Act as the main point of contact for the client, residents, and other key stakeholders.
Ensure works are carried out in a manner sensitive to the needs of the facility and its residents.
2. Team Management:
Oversee and support a Site Manager, subcontractors, and site operatives.
Ensure health & safety compliance is upheld at all times.
3. Stakeholder Communication:
Maintain open and regular communication with the client and residents throughout the works.
Manage expectations and resolve any issues that arise swiftly and professionally.
4. Quality & Compliance:
Monitor quality of workmanship and ensure all works meet required standards.
Keep project records up to date, including daily reports, progress updates, and compliance documentation.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Strong track record as a Senior Site Manager on refurbishment projects, ideally in live environments.
2. Excellent communication and people management skills.
3. SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS are essential.
4. Experience working on care, healthcare, or assisted living projects is highly desirable.
