The postholder will ensure that safeguarding responsibilities are effectively embedded throughout the organisation and that children, young people, and vulnerable adults are protected from harm.The role will provide expert advice and leadership on safeguarding matters, oversee the management of safeguarding concerns and referrals, and ensure compliance with safeguarding legislation, regulatory requirements, and best practice guidance.The Safeguarding Manager will work collaboratively with staff, volunteer leaders, trustees, statutory agencies, and partner organisations to promote a safe, supportive and accountable environment across all areas of BBNI's work.Required CriteriaExcellent knowledge of Safeguarding/Child Protection policies and proceduresPrior experience in safeguarding management e.g. Safeguarding Lead, Safeguarding Manager or Designated Officer (or equivalent)Demonstrable experience of working with and supporting volunteersExperience of working with external agenciesExcellent IT and administrative skillsPositive and enthusiastic attitudeAbility to respect confidentialityAbility to deal with conflicting pressures/deadlinesDesired CriteriaEducated to degree level Relevant professional qualificationGood presentation skillsCurrent driving license and access to a carSkills NeededSalary£34,000.00 per yearBenefits:Vacation, Paid time off Retirement plan and/or pension Flexible schedule Competitive salaryWHJS1_NI
