Summary of Role
We are looking for a mid-level Quality Engineer to join our team, with at least five years’ experience and working 50/50 between our Design Engineering and Production teams. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, improving our Quality Management System (QMS), and supporting both product development and manufacturing. You will also play a key role in ensuring compliance in multiple countries in particular UK, USA and Europe. For example, CE, UKCA, NRTL and Intrinsic Safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities

· Manage and maintain our ISO 9001 certification and compliance.
· Conduct internal audits and support external audits.
· Own and improve our Quality Management System (QMS).
· Ensure product compliance with CE, UKCA and equivalent standards in other countries.
· Intrinsically Safe (IS) standards for Hazardous Area approved product.
· Work closely with Design Engineers to integrate quality into product development.
· Support Production with process improvements and quality control.
· Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
· Train and support staff on quality processes and best practices.
· Monitor and analyse quality metrics, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
· Ensure product compliance with regulatory changes and updates as per parent company (TSI) compliance team requirements.
· Maintain a legislative / regulatory register of quality and compliance items / status.
About You
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Quality Engineer with experience in electronics product development and manufacturing. We are looking for a motivated candidate that aspires to grow into new or other roles in Casella and / or TSI to support global growth.
Essential Skills & Experience
· Experience working with ISO 9001 in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
· Strong understanding of electronics product development and manufacturing processes.
· Experience conducting internal audits and supporting external audits.
· Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and continuous improvement methods.
· Experience with CE and UKCA compliance.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Strong communication skills, able to work with teams across different functions.
Desirable Skills
· Experience in electronics assembly, PCB manufacturing, or embedded systems.
· Knowledge of additional quality standards such as ISO 14001 etc.
· Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
· Knowledge of Intrinsically Safe (IS) product certification.
