Role Description
An exciting new role has become available in the Finance Systems team at Allianz UK for an Alteryx Developer. You will build, support and maintain processes related to our Alteryx application.
Responsibilities
As a lead specialist developing and taking responsibility for a key finance application that links two ERP systems, you will be responsible for:
* Proactively identifying and deploying process improvements by developing new Alteryx processes
* Development and maintenance of new and existing Alteryx processes based on requirements from Finance
* Improving the business’ experience of interacting with our Financial Systems
* Seeking out opportunities for enhancements to our systems to facilitate the delivery of efficiency savings and providing enhancements to functionality
* Supporting finance and the business through requirements gathering, documentation and implementation required change for regulatory, statutory and business requirements
* Monitoring daily jobs and troubleshooting any issues that arise
* Ensuring all mapping tables are kept up to date
* Providing training to users on an individual or group level where needed
In addition, you will assist with development activities where appropriate, including attending project meetings, stakeholder management, designing systems/processes, conducting system testing, and creating tailored training documentation.
Qualifications
Essential Skills:
* High proficiency in Alteryx Designer, Server and related tools with the ability to develop, test and deploy workflows
* Experience in data preparation, blending, cleaning and loading of data into Alteryx and producing required reports and control checks
* Fundamentals of Data Quality governance
* Well-developed SQL and Excel skills
* Excellent analytical thinking, problem solving and troubleshooting
* Strong written and verbal communication with staff at all levels
* Self‑starter and self‑management in identifying work opportunities, documentation and best practices
* Power BI development including proficiency in DAX, data modelling using star schemas and creating interactive visualisations
* Accounting knowledge through qualification or experience, with a good understanding of accounting processes
Desirable Skills:
* Exposure to financial systems such as Oracle Essbase, Oracle Financials, Blackline, Tagetik, PXS
* Experience using SAP / Power BI
* Experience of Responsible Artificial Intelligence usage (desirable but not essential)
Location & Salary
Location: Guildford or Bournemouth (Hybrid role – attend the office one day per week).
Salary: £50,500, paid based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of the total reward package.
