The Role
We are recruiting for a proactive and hands-on HR Manager to join our client's Maidenhead office. Reporting to the Head of HR, the successful candidate will be the go-to HR professional for the UK team, delivering end-to-end generalist HR support and ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation. Key Responsibilities
The HR Manager will:
* Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and managers across the full employee lifecycle—from recruitment and onboarding through to performance management, employee relations, and offboarding
* Collaborate with HR colleagues in North America and South Africa, and support a small but growing number of employees in other regions
* Manage and maintain HR systems and records, ensuring data accuracy and GDPR compliance
* Support recruitment activities including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination
* Create, review, and communicate HR policies and procedures
* Coordinate training and development initiatives
* Handle employee relations issues with professionalism and discretion
* Prepare HR reports and metrics for leadership
* Support payroll and benefits administration in collaboration with finance
* Drive and champion a positive workplace culture aligned with company values
The Ideal Candidate
* Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within a technical or manufacturing environment
* CIPD Level 5 or above
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
* Exposure to a global working environment and understanding of international employment practices
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* A self-starter mentality with a delivery-focused approach, able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
* A flexible style—happy to handle everything from HR admin to working with executives
